BONC Commissioner Eli Lipmen’s political campaign endorser, Lee Wallach of the Motor Avenue Improvement Association (MAIA), decided to ‘give the finger’ to audience members during the Palms Neighborhood Council’s September general assembly meeting, in which California State Senator Holly Mitchell was in attendance and a guest speaker.

It is not exactly clear who Lee Wallach was giving the bird to, but he didn’t seem to mind as he very confidently let our camera-guy know, that he knew, that we knew what he just did…

This type of behavior from Wallach is as common in Palms, as finding parking isn’t.  Wallach is a demonstrated racist and bigot, who has a long history of harassing and bullying people in and around the Palms community; most notably people of color.

So, wouldn’t Wallach be on his best behavior just because California State Senator Holly Mitchell was in attendance that evening?  No, he wouldn’t…  Wallach has publicly issued slurs, epithets, and threats to people in the Palms community, and has gone so far as to publicly slander and wrongfully accuse people of color of crimes in order to get them arrested by the LAPD.

In short, if Lee Wallach had a bumper sticker it would probably read, “J.C. is my co-pilot”, but the “J.C.” would stand for “Jim Crow”…

As stated above, Lee Wallach and the Motor Avenue Improvement Association is the political campaign endorser for Los Angeles BONC Commissioner Eli Lipmen, as well as other Palms’ board members including Vice-President Ryan Bradley, Secretary Len Nguyen, and other MAIA election candidates Daniel Gleiberman and Alison Regan; who we plan on reaching out to (eventually) for comment on their endorser’s actions at the neighborhood council meeting.
